Running

I am slowly but surely getting back into running, I go during my lunch hour at work. Today I went 2.1 miles in 30 minutes. I am slowly building back up to where I was before I got pregnant. One mile at a time.

Air Quotes.....

Everytime I use inappropriate air quotes I think of you still and always will. Like when A had his danger Ranger and I was telling you a story about it and I air quoted "truck" and you looked at A and said 'Isn't it a pick up truck?' Yes. Yes it was. But I air quoted "truck" anyway. I still use them inappropriately ALL the time. It's charming and quirky. hahahahahahha....

Sterling tried pureed strawberries for the first time, he loved them. :-) He's about 4.5 months old now.

Trevor is growing up way too fast, he looks closer to 15 than 13. And I just cannot believe he is going to be a freshman next year!!! Remember when you used to babysit him? HA! Remember the time I had to go out of town over night for work and you stayed with Trev at the duplex and had a heart attack because Wolverine ran down the basement steps in the middle of the night and sounded like a person?! Wolverine is still fat and sassy and still sounds like a person on the stairs. ahahahahahahaha....

Discussions about you....

This past weekend we drove past where your wedding reception was and it was snowing and blowing much like that same night. Andy and I had a good laugh remembering that you were so worried about me driving that night because of the weather and in your mind I had been drinking, which I had not, at all, because I was still trying to recover from your bachelorette party ("what happened to Chapin? I think 3 bottles of wine happened to Chapin"). So we loaded you and RP into the back of my Impala along with like 8 whole cheesecakes and some decorations and off we went. You kept asking if I was ok to drive, I had to keep reminding you I was completely sober. We got to your house and you HAD to have Taco Bell, but I wouldn't take you unless you got out of your wedding dress and put some clothes on. hahahahaha....So you finally changed and you and I left the boys at the house and went to Taco Bell. Where you proceeded to order approx. $30 some odd dollars of Taco Bell and after every single item you requested "extra nacho cheese". We had loads of food and about 20 little containers of nacho cheese. HAHAHAHAHAHA....Then Andy and I talked about how much you LOVED that cheese when you were drunk, so much so that when you threw a big glob of it onto my car seat you proceeded to scoop it up on a finger and eat it, Oscar fur and all lady! BAHAAHAHAHAHAHA....Oh man you were so grossed out when I told you about that a couple days later. And the other surprise of that night was Andy and I took 2 of the cheesecakes home with us and when we opened one to have some.....there were finger fulls scooped out....yep, while riding home after the reception you opened just about every cheesecake back there and ate some with your bare hands. Wedding dress and all....

Grandpa Mosketti

Hey girl- we lost grandpa Mosketti last Friday, December 16th. It was unexpected but he went peacefully in bed at home. You'll know him when he gets there, he's the charming Italian with a great sense of humor, and he should be with grandma, a hilarious vibrant woman who can make any story have you in tears from laughing so much. Keep an eye out for them :) 


It's almost Christmas. I miss you so much....

New hair.....

I'm getting new hair tomorrow night, remember always calling me the hair natzi because I was always encouraging you to try new things!! ahahahahahaha....you got brave a few times, I was so proud of you :)


In other news, people that call my work are a-holes, 90% of them are ignorant morons. Ex: 


Moron: Is P.L. there?
Me: He's in a meeting can you leave him a vm?
Moron: No I need my stuff now (be advised this moron ALWAYS needs his stuff now)
Me: ok, well he isn't going to be tied up for the rest of the day. 
Moron: Well I need *mumble mumble mumble* by the end of the day, that's what I need
Me: ok, what job was that?
Moron: *click*


Well alright then sir. HAVE A NICE F*ING DAY! 


And that reminded me of when I used to sit over the cubicle wall from you and T and hit the mute button when people would call and be rude and ignorant. And you two would laugh your asses off at my colorful commentary ;-)


*sigh* oh how I miss the days of the mute button. :) Good times. Good times. 

The What Ifs....

Sometimes I find myself doing the 'what if' game in my head. I think....what if you hadn't missed your flight that day? What if I wasn't getting married out of state? What if I had known the situation you were in? What if you had been staying with us? The list goes on and on and on....and makes no difference. You are gone and there's no bringing you back. And I will never know if something would have made a difference. You were chosen by a monster. No one could have stopped that. You didn't know. Until it was too late. I wish I had been there for you, to help you get out of it, I believe you already were trying to get out of it. It hurts my heart to think of the emotional turmoil you were in for so many months, so much more so than I was aware of. I understand why you didn't tell me, but it doesn't change the fact that I wish I had known, so I could be there for you. I miss you so much Blondie. Kendy and I still get together for wine filled bitch session nights at my house :) We will always miss you being there with us....there will always be an empty glass, which should be filled.

First Real Snow of the Season....

Ah yes, the first real snow of the season is falling today, December 9th. The drive into work this morning was stellar (not). But I do like a fresh snowfall, it is pretty. Andy and I have picked Dec 23rd to do our Xmas shopping. LOL.....last minute, like I said. :)


We are all excited to celebrate Sterling's first Christmas. SO fun. We are hoping to do some family pictures tomorrow at the in-laws home. Remember when you took pictures for my mom's 50th birthday present, we all went to that park and Carly and I had Oscar and Bailey with us and there were some great 'action' shots of one dog or the other trying to take off. ahahahahaha...But the majority of those pics really turned out great. I wish you were here to take these for us. No dogs this time. HA! Just a 3 month old baby, could get tricky. :)
